Hey guys, back again for another band review. This next band is honestly my most favorite band on the planet right now, called Disturbed. This band was brought together by long time friends Dan Donegan (guitar), Mike Wengren (drums), and Fuzz (bass) played for a while in Chicago for a few years before getting up with lead singer David Draiman in 1997. Draiman had grown up in a religious family, which he rebelled against, had been expelled from five boarding schools as a kid. He eventually found a way to channel his anger and rage in the thrashing sound of Disturbed, and the band built up a fan base in Chicago's south side before they made a demo tape that led to their signing to Giant records, which was with the release of their first debut album “The Sickness” in march 2000. The band's fan base grew and gained more exposure from playing the mainstage in the 2001 Ozzfest, then broke off their own self-described “victory lap” across the US that fall. During this period also, they were able to record a new version of the WWE wrestler Steve Austin’s theme song, and was so good that it was able to get it played on the radio, and announce their working on a high-profile album called “Faith No More”, a tribute album.

Disturbed stepped into the studio after getting off the road and began to work on a new album that would reflect their growth as a band. Feeling experimental, the band worked with the producer Johnny K and mixer Andy Wallace in order to create an album that would compare to other classic metal bands. To show their fondness of Pantera, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and soundgarden, Believe was released in the fall of 2002, and was seen as a heavier, more varied, and overall greater record to their debut, reaching the top of the billboard 200. After finishing the tour, Fuzz left the band and was replaced by former Union Underground member John Mayer. The tour document Music as a Weapon 2 appeared in 2004, followed by the full-length studio album Ten Thousand Fists in September 2005, Indestructible in 2008, and in 2011 they released their fifth studio album, Asylum.

In July 2011, the members of the band announced that they would be going on a hiatus. The Lost Children, a collection of B-sides and rarities, was released in November of that same year. During their hiatus, Mayer joined Adrenaline Mob, and formed Art of Anarchy (with Scott Weiland as lead singer) David created an industrial metal band called Device, and Donegan and Wengren formed Fight or Flight. After a dinner between Draiman and Donegan, they decided to start making plans for Disturbed to return in early fall of 2015. They began working in the studio for the first time since 2001, with producer Kevin Churko, and produced their new album, Immortalized, which became their fifth consecutive studio album to top Billboard 200.

Hey guys, I’m back again and this time I decided to switch things up a bit. For this review, instead of the normal band reviews, I’ll be reviewing Washburn RX-Series electric guitar, model RX10MRD. I personally own, and have been constantly using this guitar for about four of five years, so I know from a personal view that this guitar has an absolutely beautiful body type, layout, and an amazing sound when played on, and off of an amplifier. This guitar has many features. The body of the guitar is made up of Basswood. The neck is made of Maple Bolt-on, with the Fret board being made up of Rosewood, that contains up to twenty-four (24) frets that contain the fret inlays as dots. The tuners are made up of a Chrome Diecast. The nut type on the neck is; Graphtech Nubone,Black, with the width being forty-three Millimeters (43 mm), and has a scale of twenty-five-point-five (25.5). The electronics on the body base has two (2) volume/two(2) control knobs, and the pickups are a three (3) way toggle system, with the pickups being Dual Washburn Humbuckers, and the pickup configuration is H/H. The entire body of the guitar is made up of Chrome Hardware, and comes in the color of Metallic red,or solid black, with a gloss finish. This guitar uses D’addario EXL 120 Light Gauge strings, and fits to a GB4 Gig-Bag, which is sold separately. Brand-new on Amazon, this guitar is normally sold for $166.72, and $119.00 used. At Guitar Center, brand-new, it sells for $159. Thank you so much guys for viewing my blog here at Metalhead Productions, I will be posting every other Monday, reviewing metal bands from around the world, instruments, electronic equipment, and more. If you have any questions or if you have any requests or suggestions on what I should review next, tell me  in the comments below, and as always I’ll see you next time!

Hey guys I know that it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything because I’m still finding out all that I want to do for my blog, but you’re not here to hear about that, let’s get to the good stuff shall we?
The newest band that I’ve known about and listened to since i was just starting middle school, and most of you have probably heard about them already, but I wanted to talk about them anyway. They are called Drowning Pool. Coming from Dallas Texas, my hometown I might add, before relocating to New Orleans, Louisiana, and these guys have been playing music since their debut in the early 2000’s. They rose to fame in Dallas after the release of their second demo after two years on the road, which reached the top ten on the Dallas radio station KEGL, which later resulted in a contract signing with the Wind-Up Records label.
Image result for Drowning poolThe release of their first album Sinner: Unlucky 13 became an instant hit, and within six weeks of its release it was certified platinum, while their first single, "Bodies" was one of the most frequently aired videos on MTV. They performed at many different events, reaching out to WWE Wrestlemania and Ozzfest, but their success streak was short lived. After playing for the crowed at Ozzfest in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 3’rd, they found their vocalist dead from natural causes, and in January of 2004, the band announced the addition of  singer Jason Jones, and their sophomore effort “Desensitized” followed months after.
In 2006 the former “Soil” singer Ryan McCombs assumed the vocal duties, and a year later they released their “full Circle” album, which was followed by their “Loudest Common Denominator” album, in 2009. A self titled album dropped in 2010, making McCombs the very first Drowning pool singer to record more than one album with the group. However it didn’t last very long; he passed away the following year, and was replaced by “Suicide Hook” vocalist Jason moreno, who made his first debut in 2013’s “Resilience” album. Three years later, Moreno would match McCombs’ record with the release of the second Moreno-led, and overall sixth
Drowning Pool Album, “Hallelujah” produced by Jason Suecof, which featured the single "By The Blood"
